The Willows at Brandow Point, 480 Route 385, Athens, NY
Charlotte Carter, Greene Land Trust Board member, outdoor enthusiast, gardener, and wreath maker, will lead a wreathmaking workshop. Participants will use dried natural materials, including numerous invasive species which are harvested responsibly. Each participant will leave with a unique wreath of their own creation and a new appreciation for the artistic bounty of our natural environment.
Bring a pair of shears for cutting dried plants. Grapevine or bittersweet wreath bases will be provided, along with a variety of dried plant materials and some fresh flowers for “ephemeral” wreathmaking. If you have dried flowers, grasses, ribbon, etc., that you would like to use in your wreath please feel free to bring the materials to the workshop.
Tea-time refreshments will be served.
The workshop is limited to 20 participants. Cost is $25 per person, plus $3.52 registration fee.
Since registration is limited, please sign-up quickly. We look forward to celebrating our love of the Willows, our woods, grasslands and gardens with you!
