Stewardship and Aquisition Manager

Greene Land Trust (GLT) is looking for a Stewardship and Acquisitions Manager to work approximately 20 hours per week. The Stewardship and Acquisitions Managerwill work closely with the Stewardship Committee and the Board of Directors to steward GLT’s conservation easements and fee-owned properties. Management can include, for example, monitoring and inspecting easements and boundaries, as well as implementing stewardship plans (e.g., overseeing removal of invasives or encroaching brush by hired contractors or volunteers). Management also includes supervising and recruiting volunteers, consistent with GLT and Land Trust Alliance guidance, policies, and procedures. The Stewardship and Acquisitions Manager will also work with the Board on the acquisition of new properties and easements. These duties will include evaluating designated properties according to GLT policies and procedures and preparing baseline documentation.

Applicants should demonstrate an ability to work independently as well as with others, proficiency with relevant computer applications and a willingness to learn new applications, and personal interest in conserving land and natural resources.

Work will be performed in the field, at home, and at GLT headquarters at the Willows at Brandow Point. The work schedule is flexible. Ability to travel to various locations in Greene County is required; occasional weekend and evening work may also be necessary.

Salary based on qualifications and experience:  $25,000 – $29,000 per year.
