We have 615 trees to plant — We need YOUR help! Bring your friends and plant for an hour or the entire afternoon – whatever time you can spare.
Join volunteers and staff from Scenic Hudson and the Greene Land Trust to plant trees at the Mawignack Preserve on Friday from 10am – noon and/or Sunday from 1-4pm.
This tree planting activity is part of a phased effort to reforest an area of the Mawignack Preserve that lies within the 100-year flood plain of the Catskill Creek. The Mawignack reforestation effort matters because forested floodplains provide rich habitat for a variety of species, and also effectively store flood waters, reducing flood damage downstream.

If you would like to help, please dress appropriately for the weather and bring work gloves. If inclement weather leads to postponement / cancellation, we will send an email the evening prior to the event.
