10:00am – Noon
The Willows at Brandow Point, 480 Route 385, Athens, NY
Kelsey West, Greene Land Trust Board member and Environmental Educator will lead an invasive species walk at the Willows at Brandow Point. Kelsey will provide an introduction to invasive species, identify common invasive plants at the Willows, and discuss what you can do about invasive species on your property and beyond.
During the walk, Charlotte Carter, Greene Land Trust Board member, outdoor enthusiast, and wreath maker, will join Kelsey and identify species that she collects to make Fall Wreath (see information on Wreathmaking Workshop, October 7, 2023).
Join the walk to learn about invasive species and to help with collection of vines, grasses and flowers for the Wreathmaking Workshop or to take home to make a wreath on your own. Please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring gloves and your garden clippers if you would like to help with plant collection.
The event is limited to 20 participants. Admission is FREE. Pre-registration is requested. Donations to the Greene Land Trust will be accepted during the event.
