Kelsey West, Climate Change & Natural Resources Program Coordinator at Cornell Cooperative Extension of Columbia and Greene Counties will lead an invasive species walk at the Willows at Brandow Point. Kelsey will provide an introduction to invasive species, identify common invasive plants at the Willows, and discuss what you can do about invasive species on your property and beyond. Walk will take about 1.5 hours.
Following the training, you are invited to stick around and help the Greene Land Trust clip and remove invasive bittersweet from the Willows’ scenic vista. If you would like to help, please dress appropriately for the weather, and bring gloves and your garden clippers.
The event is limited to 20 participants. Admission is free. Pre-registration is requested. Donations to the Greene Land Trust will be accepted during the event.
