GLT is pleased to announce that it has received a grant to create a Natural Resource Inventory (NRI)) for Greene County. The NRI will help prioritize projects that will most benefit the protection of sensitive habitats, increase resilience, and improve the overall health of the watershed within Greene County. The project will also identify conservation priorities that GLT use will to consider land conservation opportunities we should pursue. This will help us assure that we use your donations are used effectively.  This project is made possible by a $35,000 grant from the Hudson River Estuary Program funded by the NYS Environmental Protection Fund. Bird House Building Bird House Building

We had a great turnout for our annual birdhouse building event in 2018 with 40+ kids of all ages coming to the Willows to build a birdhouse and birdfeeder to take home, take a hike, learn to use binoculars, and roll down the hill.

Thanks to the Athens Sportsmen’s Club for preparing the birdhouse kits and helping with the building. And thanks to the Athens Community Foundation for helping the Sportsmen pay for the materials.
